Travel The World Through My Eyes

Besides traveling, another little passion of mine has always been videotaping. Back in the early 2000’s, when all of my friends were buying their incredibly expensive and awful quality digital cameras, I saved up every penny of my pay cheque to buy an incredibly expensive and awful quality video camera. Back then, we were still using tapes to record and so I have a box full of incriminating video tapes that depict teenagers doing teenaged things. Note to my friends: Always be nice to me ; ) I’ve since moved up in the world as far as video cameras go, but I am still learning. I will eventually learn how to not shake so much! The Day Uncle Franko Showed Us How Italians Live

Some of the best moments on a trip to somewhere new are the unexpected adventures and experiences that you come across. Those are the moments where when it’s happening, I feel like I am dreaming. This stuff doesn’t happen in real life does it? With an instrumental version of “Wake Me Up” By Avicci playing over the airplanes speakers as we landed in Milan, I knew we were in for an amazing time. It was 7:30am and we had been traveling for almost 24 hours (long layover in New York = cheapest flight!). We were exhausted but beyond excited to experience the Italian lifestyle that we were sure to find.
